We are starting a new classrooms in our district for students with sensory and behavior issues. I really want my classroom to feel like a warm place for our kids. The items in our cart are to help us give comfort and joy to those student who need it the most.
A classroom should be a child's safe spot.
The couch in our cart will be used for a soft spot for the kids to use for movement and rest. It will be great for the kids to be able to set it up in a way that is most comfortable for them. The noise cancelling headphones for them to use in the school when the voice level is upsetting. We would also love to have some books for students to help learn how to make good choices. We are also making a sensory wall for them to use as a movement/break time. The laminating sheets and TPT gift cards will be used to make signs and posters to help our student learn to calm themselves and make better choices.
