Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students need some supplemental materials to increase student engagement in science and math. On teachers pay teachers, my fellow co-workers have created some awesome activities that would enhance their learning.

For example, one activity I would purchase with this gift card is a project on perimeter and area.

Students create their own zoo, and decide which animal exhibits will be in their zoo. They find the perimeter and area of each enclosure, and create an entire zoo! They take into account walkways, restrooms, a common area and entrance and exits.

Another example of how I would use this project is for a multiplication review game. In some activities, students are able to battle each other in a speed fluency game. In other activities, students roll a dice to multiply.

This would great increase student engagement!
