I am a first grade teacher at an amazing public school in NC. My students come to school from various backgrounds and experiences. They are eager and inquisitive and their desire to learn keeps me on my toes! This is my 13th year teaching and I can't think of a better school or grade level to spend each and every day learning from my students!
With recent budget cuts, we cannot order new, exciting materials to enhance and reinforce our daily skills. As you can imagine, 1st graders are very active and LOVE super-engaging activities during our small group activity time. They LOVE hands-on, colorful activities that stimulate their thinking and allow them to move while learning.
I am requesting activities that will keep their minds and their bodies active and alert. These super-engaging language centers features magnetic activity charts with colorful picture magnets to complete each activity. Students will be working on everything from phonemic awareness to vocabulary skills as they sequence letters in a huge magnetic bowl of alphabet soup, sort magnetic food by syllable count, match up magnetic household items by category and more! I am requesting 12 magnetic activities with all the letter and picture magnets to complete each activity.
Your donation will provide super-engaging language activities for my first graders. These engaging activities will be used to reinforce valuable literacy skills with colorful, hands-on fun. Together, let's make learning MAGNETIC!
