My Project

Let's make everyday, Earth Day! At Thiriot Elementary School, our students come to school smiling regardless of the challenges they may face outside. More than half of our student population are English Language Learners who have little experience and knowledge about the wonders of the outside world. My goal is to create passionate learners and curious individuals who will one day leave our planet in a better state than it is currently in.

With your help- you can give my students compost bins, so that we can learn how to take better care of the environment!

With these compost bins, we can encourage other teachers and students in our school to take part in helping to reduce food waste- one of the biggest factors that affect our planet's state of health. We will begin composting food scraps from our morning breakfast and lunch, reducing the cost and environmental impact of putting biodegradable materials into landfills and garbage disposals. Thank you for taking the time to read about my project and for giving my school an incredible opportunity show some love to our planet!
