Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our music class needs some sprucing up! Currently all my students have sit-spots that they sit on that are stuck to the carpet. Luckily I have carpet, but still have students complaining about sitting on the floor and wanting to sit against the wall or lay down.
With flexible seating options, this will hopefully make sitting in music class more comfortable and help with student motivation and focus.
The carpet will be used with the younger grades to help with transitions and make it easier to play group games and activities. The cushions can be used by any and all grades that I teach to make sitting on the floor way more comfortable!
I also am requesting a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. I am constantly using TPT to get resources and materials to help in my class and it would be a huge help! Music lessons about rhythm and group song activities will be purchased.
