This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Do you remember your favorite lessons in school? Was it when you were getting lectured or when you were using your hands to create something? I know my favorite lessons were when I was able to be creative and use my hands to learn.
My students live in a poverty-stricken area.
They do not have much, and I want to give them the best opportunity to grow and learn. Learning is not memorizing facts, it is about using your hands to build, invent, and grow.
My Project
Teaching reading is one of my favorite subjects to teach. I love to instill that same love into my students. One way to keep reading fun is to play games will learning to read.
These file folder games are perfect for that keeping reading fun!
These will be a great addition to our small group work in the classroom. When students are in small groups it is important to have them doing something fun and engaging. Using these games will do both of those. I am so excited to share these file folder games with my class.
