Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students need to be physically active; it helps them learn and process information better, as well as make them healthier. My classroom aims to promote learning and lifelong fitness to improve a child's life.

We, as a nation, are becoming increasingly unhealthy; diabetes, heart disease, and obesity are becoming major epidemics with our kids and they are all preventable and controllable.

Our kids need to get active. We need to help them change their lifestyles! My students are Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. They attend an inner-city elementary school. They are great students and love physical education. My students love to move and always enjoy the activities I do with them.

My Project

This project will provide me with the training to be able to provide my students training in basic first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. These are important life skills that can help to save someone's life.

According to the American Heart Association children as young as nine can learn CPR, and these skills will stick with them for the rest of their life.

I would like to provide the training for my students to become certified in First Aid and CPR so that if the situation arises they will be able to help someone in need. This course will allow me to do so.
