Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school library is an amazing place. Our school librarian has created a safe, nurturing and academic environment for our middle schoolers. As a gardener myself, I know how plant care has helped my mental health over the years! Taking care of plants is a wonderful hobby that my school librarian and I would like to share with our middle school students.

Studies have shown that plants also help clean indoor air, so we would also like to teach our students the science behind this!

If students are interested, we will also teach them about propagation, which involves even more science. The possibilities are endless and exciting! The plants requested in this project will be displayed in the school library. The watering cans and the plant food will be used to water and feed the plants.
