Today's children need interactive resources to inspire learning. They do not want to simply come to school and work on worksheets all day! They want to create, build, and play. They are very curious about the world around them, and they are quick to tell me when they discover something new or finally understand a concept. They are proud of their accomplishments, and they are also very supportive of one another. These projects will help them become well-rounded individuals with a passion for learning.
My Project
In my classroom, we do a lot of group work. Right now, some groups are sharing kindles, and the kindles, now, are not helping the individual student as much as I would like to. If we bring a few more kindles into the classroom, it would help my students excel in reading and math. I can program individual apps that would help that particular student succeed in the area that he/she is struggling.
Also, the kindles would allow my class to do more hands-on, creative projects.
Students would be able to work in a smaller group setting and create a movie, a lesson, a poster, or a piece of art that would reflect their understanding. They will have their world at their fingertips if we could get these kindles for our classroom!
