Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This classroom teaches children with multiple disabilities as well as autism grades K-1st in Chicago. Many students are non-verbal and communicate through visuals and manipulatives. The students have many sensory and academic needs. This classroom is a safe haven where all students can learn and grow in their unique way.

Please consider supporting these learners by giving them tools to continue to learn and grow.

They can continue using these tools in the future and become more independent.

These students are diverse learners with diverse needs. By donating to our project, you will be helping to create a space where they can flourish academically. With the help of new sensory toys, a vibrant pillow, and sensory brushes, my students can calm their bodies and attend to tasks. With their Draw & Write journals and pencil grips, my students can free-write till their hands get tired! They can play and learn with new puzzles and show their imagination by building amazing things with the legos!

The students will explore and develop their motor skills along with the bristle blocks and the kinetic sand. With the HP printer ink, I will be able to provide individualized work without having to worry about my printing limit. With the help of a storage trolley cart, I will be able to travel my students' IEP goals, Language Arts materials around the classroom to continue supporting the learning that will take place in our classroom centers.
