My Project
I teach chess to all students at our school. I host a free chess club and no student is turned away. However, we do not have enough equipment for such a large group of students and have had to cut our student group in half. What equipment we do have has come from family donations and second hand thrift stores. We have not been able to afford game timers. We don’t have even one for a display and students have not learned this chess concept.
Chess helps students improve their cognitive abilities, improves memory, and problem solving.
It helps with patience, self-confidence, goal setting and more.
