Can you imagine sitting in a dirty chair? A chair that has been collecting dust and dirt since 1986? That's how old the furniture is in our elementary school library. These cloth chairs desperately need to be replaced. Our library looked exactly how it did back 34 years, up until five years ago. Updating has been slow, however, I'm determined to provide the best learning environment for our 750+ students. These students are so incredibly creative, and they deserve chairs that are safe for them. I'm aware this library update is expensive. I've tried applying for grant opportunities but haven't met with any luck. These chairs would be so very much appreciated but our students, their parents, and our school staff. In our current environment where all students are wearing masks, library books are being quarantined, and tables are being cleaned between each class; having chairs that can be wiped clean would be so very much appreciated.
