This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember a wonderful story that was read to you as a child? My students love to listen stories, too!

My students are a diverse group of learners.

I have students from many different cultural backgrounds and come to me speaking three languages. Our school is a Title I school with a high free and reduced lunch population. We work hard to provide every child with the resources they need.

My Project

These MP3 players and headphones will provide every child in my class (and for years to come) the opportunity to listen to wonderful stories and follow along in books. This will give every student the chance to hear fluent readers as many as 4 additional times a week.

These materials can provide a time for each student to enjoy a book and increase their proficiency.

All of us can remember the feeling of finally reading on our own. These MP3 players will aid on the path to that proficiency for my students and many more to come.
