This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My amazing students are from a minority group since they are Hispanic and English Language Learners.

Due to this background they struggle with reading comprehension and mathematics skills due to a very low vocabulary, even in their native language.

They are the kindest and supper sweet bunch you’ll ever see.

They are always exited and appreciate every opportunity they get to explore something new.

I also have 4 students special education needs, who have come a very long way so far, but will benefit from technology that keeps them on task and engaged.

Some students don't get the opportunity to practice their academic skills outside the school environment because their househoold situation is precarious, and in some cases the parents don't even have the academic level to help them.

My Project

The tablets will be a great asset to the class because they are easier to use for 1st graders than the Chromebooks that they usually have in school.

The students will be using these resources during the learning station in Math and Language arts.

They will share with a partner taking turns and helping each other complete the challenges.

The responsible use of technology is a very important skill kids need to develop in today's society, and it also happens to very fun for them.

Osmo is an excellent resource that allows children to progress in their academic skills at their own pace, and they will definitely hook my students' attention who, like every kid today, love technology and online gaming.
