My Project

I am asking for these items to help my students strive for the last three months of school. Even though they are building their knowledge, there are some other supplies we could use to further and help them on their journeys. Snacks help with our brain power and also as incentives to do as well as they can. With that being said, our classroom doesn't always receive a lot of help with supplies like snacks, and students get hungry before lunch. I plan on using the candy as an incentive for our timed math tests. As for the snacks if a student cannot afford to bring one from home, I will be able to supply that for them with your help.

Research has consistently shown that proper nutrition is crucial for cognitive development and academic success.

I have a hard time keeping my students engaged and being able to concentrate when they haven't eaten anything. By supplying them with snacks they will have no excuse for being hungry.

I am also asking for Clorox wipes due to us going through about 100 of them weekly trying to keep those germs away. This time of year we are facing huge amounts of kiddos being sick by different things so being able to do our part by wiping our tables daily should help our situation. I have also added a requested gift card for Teachers Pay Teachers so I can get some needed materials for the remainder of the year.

I would love to get funded to help my students continue to move on in 2nd grade. They are great kids and all try so very hard to do well that they deserve some extras to get them there.
