My students need books and resources that will ignite their minds in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics.

My Students

My students are extremely curious and, since it is their first year in an all-day structured program, they transition often from guided instruction to free choice learning. We have learning center time and a state-approved curriculum to keep them on track with other children their age in our state. I tell my students that they are the "Best kids in Texas" and our motto is "We are all friends".

I teach pre-kindergarten students at a Title I school in Texas, currently recovering from Hurricane Harvey.

All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are English Language Learners and have lots of excitement about school.

My Project

My students consist of the generation that will one day grow up and have a job that does not even currently exist! That may actually be a whole lot to think about but as an educator, I am excited to be a part of their journey.

My students can learn about Physics, Space, Engineering, Biology through these amazingly written books and correlating resources.

My Pre-Kindergarten students, who recently survived Hurricane Harvey, are able to manipulate a computer faster than me at times and I believe that if given the opportunity and are exposed to these amazing books such as Uncle Goose’s American Sign Language books and blocks will spark their interest in S.T.E.A.M throughout their education.
