Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a wonderful institution that focuses on fostering love, responsibility, and learning among its students. The school has 6 pre-k classrooms, identified as 4 ESE and 2 VPK. The pre-k team is now working on a project to create a garden where pre-k students can grow their own fruits and vegetables. This project is of great importance to us because most of our students come from low-income households, and sometimes they come to school without lunch or snacks.
Having a garden will allow students to have access to fresh produce, and it will also teach them about responsibility and nature.
To make this project a reality, we require resources such as garden beds, gardening tools, different types of seeds, storage, and watering cans. Our team is planning to have everything ready by the start of the next school year, so students can begin using it then.
We believe this project will help pre-k students develop a sense of responsibility and love for nature. It will allow about 68 students to learn how to be patient, responsible, and how to grow their own food. We kindly request your support in making this project a success.
