This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our School Garden is such a wonderful place to learn math, science and so much more. The students enjoy it in the garden even as a place to just go and have a different place to sit and learn rather than be in a classroom.
Cucumbers need to climb and so do many other plants, vegetables and flowers.
The cattle panels will be mounted on sturdy fence posts and ensure our cucumbers, tomatoes and more will be supported and keep the veggies from rotting because of sitting on a wet ground.
We have grown Loofa and Birdhouse gourds and painted the Birdhouse gourds to add color and hopefully more song birds to our garden. Metal won't rot and will last much longer decreasing life cycle maintenance costs and labor as well.
