My Project

Let's get to work! I am a Work Based Learning teacher & I am looking to create a school coffee shop for the next school year! This project-based learning experience will allow the students to budget, plan, and implement running a small coffee shop at our school for the staff and students to purchase things.

By having the opportunity to start from the ground up, the students will have to plan, budget, and execute a plan to create the coffee shop at our school.

They will come up with the menu, develop the recipes for the baked goods & coffee drinks they would like to offer, and then price and work at the coffee shop.

The ability for us to have the coffee shop at our school allows us to give authentic experiences without necessarily leaving our school building. I work with students grades 9-12 and the majority are special education students.

Mrs. Diggins will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 4.
