The new books have opened doors to rich discussions and reading skills like making inferences, exploring character traits, and connecting stories to real-world experiences. Students are practicing comprehension and fluency every day — and they are loving it. The stories have sparked imagination and curiosity, especially for students who once struggled to stay engaged.\r\nBeyond reading, your support helped us bring in sensory tools and fidgets that have made a world of difference for student focus and regulation. These materials help students calm their bodies and minds so they can be ready to learn — whether that's during a quiet reading block or a hands-on science activity. The sensory lights and fidgets have created a calm, welcoming classroom atmosphere where everyone can thrive.\r\nIn science and math, the new materials have allowed us to turn abstract concepts into real, meaningful experiences. Students have built, experimented, measured, and explored — developing critical thinking skills and discovering how much fun learning can be when it's interactive. One of my students who often found it hard to stay on task now beams with pride when he completes a science experiment or solves a math problem with manipulatives.\r\nThank you for helping make learning more accessible, joyful, and meaningful for every student in our classroom. Your generosity has truly changed the way my students experience school each day.","fullyFundedDate":1741616122154,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-success-a-creative-learning-j/9122755/","projectTitle":"Tools for Success: a Creative Learning Journey With Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hillmer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7701998_orig.jpg?crop=608,608,x0,y14&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1608600783626","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7701998"},{"teacherId":9012248,"projectId":8913429,"letterContent":"Thank you for the donation. Being able to provide our students with clean, appropriate and comfortable clothing when they are in need has been so helpful on numerous occasions already this year. The students like the options we are able to provide for them, and it's been so great to be able to provide them with autonomy and dignity of receiving new, un-used clothes. \r\nThe fidgets and sensory toys have been utilized by our students to help calm them and provide them with a much needed sensory break through out their school day.
