We are a small rural Title I school with many students passionate about wrestling. This new wrestling mat would benefit our middle school wrestlers, our high school team, and even our club wrestlers who start as young as five years old. With proper care, wrestling mats can last for many years, and we plan to keep this one in use for a long time. The love of the sport continues to grow in our community, but with growth comes the need for more equipment, especially a mat. This mat will allow us to teach wrestlers of all ages proper techniques in a safe environment, along with giving them the opportunity to practice and refine their skills. Additionally, having this mat will enable us to host wrestling meets with other schools, giving our athletes more experience and helping us grow the sport locally.
