My Project

Students of all ages love to build and create with Legos. This summer, my school will host a summer camp that focuses around Legos.

Lego Story Starters Camp is a free camp offered to students beginning in Kindergarten to 8th grade.

Since we have so many age groups and students, we need more Legos. We typically have 20-25 students in each classroom group. The students love to return each year. They become so excited when they see they have a new Lego set to work with during camp.

Students will work together in small groups to write original narratives, then build Lego scenes to depict those stories. Each camp will publish a collaborative anthology of student stories.

I would love to be able to expand this to my own set of Kindergarteners for years to come.
