Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In fourth grade, being ORGANIZED is very important. We have a lot of moving parts, including my students moving from class to class. I give my students a pencil pouch to help them keep up with their pencils, colored pencils, and erasers. They use their yellow folder as a way to return work to school, take graded work home, and we use it as a way to communicate with parents with our "Monday Memos" we send out each week. Our blue folders" are math specific. We use our blue folders to organize our "Daily Spiral" and we use it as a safe place to keep work we may not finish day to day. Organization is key and this is how we achieve it in Mr. Berry's class.
