The love for learning is real in third grade! My students are energetic, hardworking, and have a passion for learning. As a teacher, I do my best to provide my students with engaging and creative experiences in the classroom.
By creating a classroom community and focusing on student relationships, I am hopeful to inspire my students to have a passion for love and learning.
As a teacher in a Title I school, over 40% of my students receive free/reduced lunch. Our campus and community are overcoming challenges from Hurricane Harvey. Despite the obstacles my students face outside of the classroom, I believe through building meaningful relationships, teaching a love for reading, and having fun, my students have the potential to overcome and become life-long learners.
My Project
Having specific areas within the classroom for different materials is very critical in a 3rd grade classroom. There is nothing worse than being in a small group working with your students, with Ah-Ha moments happening, when a students interrupts asking for a pencil.
For this project, I am asking for a 15 drawer organizer and supply caddies to help maintain organization within the classroom.
The drawers will store games and hands-on activities that are played everyday during guided reading groups. Students will be able to access the storage drawers easily and will know exactly where everything goes when it is time to pick up. The supply caddies on each table group will house extra supplies for the students.
