My Students

At the middle school, I teach every student, fourth through eighth grade, totaling over 300 students! With the wide range in grades, comes a wide range of interests. My students are very eager to learn and they work hard every day to do that. They are proud of their work and like to see it go places. Students have all different interests and I am excited to bring those interests into the classroom through a student-led film series, virtual field trips, and guest speakers.

Students have been exposed to a variety of STEM topics including sports, film production, coding, careers, and STEM.

One of the classes I teach is an adaptive class for students with special needs. According to the school report card, about 15% of our students were diagnosed with disabilities. In addition, about 20% of students are economically disadvantaged.

My Project

Many students love sports and I am eager to bring that passion into the classroom with a Game Day especially with the Winter Olympics coming up! Please help support a fun way to get students up out of their seats and get them moving as well as a way to earn fun prizes picked with them in mind. Some of the prizes include pop-its as well as books about their role models such as Jennie Finch. I can't wait to to introduce this project to students and see where it goes!
