This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I would love to have my project funded for next year. I will be changing grades, but my scholars will remain the same. They will be very eager to expand the the skills they learned in third grade and apply them in fourth grade. They are a very curious bunch. I can’t wait to see their faces when they see we have new tools to work with.

I plan on using the math manipulatives ( jumbo magnetic fraction/decimal circles, protractors, double sided dry erase boards, and fraction/decimal dominoes) as visual instructional tools and hands on engagement aides to enhance their learning.

My students seem to respond better when they can manipulate objects. I am eager to start a new year with the right tools to teach and keep my students engaged in the learning. Getting this project funded will allow my scholars and me to hit the ground running on day one with the tools we need to succeed.
