My students are special in so many ways. We are in a school that services military children in our town. My school is truly a melting pot of diversity, talents, and cultures. My students love to learn and relate things to the real world. I make all learning fun and interactive as well as engaging for my students.
My students go above and beyond to be the best that they can be.
I am pushing for them to understand the importance of being organized, productive, and focused in an environment that is conducive to learning.
My Project
The graph paper, post-it notes, paper flags, and other items listed for this project will help supply the students in my class with the materials needed for a successful and interactive notebook!
Textbooks are a thing of the past in classrooms and I firmly believe students still need something physically tangible to have to use as a resource when learning and studying.
The supplies in this project will get them interactive in their notebook with graphing, mini-notes on post-its, leave feedback for others as well as mark pages and set up units with flags. Students learn best by doing and being hands-on. If they are creating this learning tool, they will use and remember the information a lot longer than just telling them information. I truly believe that setting up students for success begins in the classroom!
