Let's Get Hands-on, Third Grade!

Help me give my students the necessary hands on math and science and art experiences during COVID 19. It's important that my third graders get to safety experience hands on activities.

My Students

Did you know that third graders are the best? I have the most amazing 8/9 year old people in my classroom this year. Students that go to Bell View Elementary never ever end to surprise me with their wit, their strong characters, their love for each other, kindness, intellect, and resiliency. You would think walking into my classroom that none of my students have been through trauma or problems that most of us do not understand... they are just incredible. All year long these kiddos have received endless teacher compliments for their good behavior and kindness towards each other during a pandemic!

Covid-19 has impacted my third grade classroom in that we have found more creative ways to be hands on and safe but still grant students hands on learning!

This project will give us more supplies to continue those efforts.

My Project

These hands on activities for math, science, and art are going to help my students achieve engagement during a stressful time of COVID-19. Let's help these 8 and 9 year olds forget about having to wear a mask and having to worry about their safety by engaging them in some EXCELLENT scientific inquiries! Let's help them hone in their skills and delve into mathematical problem solving in a fun game-based learning environment so we they can get lost in their learning and forget about the pandemic while in school! I've also thrown in some excellent fidget toys to help their brains focus on the lessons.
