My students are excited to learn about math. This year we are implementing Guided Math with small group instruction, independent practice, and a variety of math stations with technology, foldables for our interactive notebooks, manipulatives and math review games. We are trying to build a standards-based math curriculum with many opportunities for learning math in new ways, by trying numerous strategies. Finding resources to use for guided math is challenging, so we need your help in adding resources to our Guided Math curriculum.
Many of our classmates have only been taught with whole group instruction in math, but want to try new strategies and methods.
We want to do more hands-on math this year, to help us learn more. We love math and want to learn more strategies and practice math skills with manipulatives and fun games.
We live in a low-income area and don't have many financial resources at our school since we are a Title 1 school.
My Project
My students are weak in math, but have a desire to be stronger. They want to be successful, but often get discouraged because math is boring and hard to understand. We need interactive notebook foldables and math games to use with our Guided Math stations; Fun math games and activities can make math interesting and engaging for all of us.
Help get us motivated and excited about math by providing us with hands-on learning in a fun way.
We will learn better if we are interested and excited about math. Games and activities can make math skills easy to learn and make math fun!
