Help me give my students a quality camera and some basic printing supplies so they can start digitizing, photographing, videoing, sharing, and showcasing ideas they have breathed life into!

Small school … Big Learners.. Low Income … High Expectations! The students in my classes are all wonderful young people ready to soak up all that the world has to offer to them. We are in a community that is struggling. Local donations are hard to find not because people don't care but rather because resources are scarce. Our middle schoolers are voracious learners! They actually want to learn! They are always asking to take pictures. However, cameras are expensive. I teach Picture Perfect Publishing, which covers everything from photography and photo-shop to advertising and creative writing. Our class motto is we give ideas life. Our Title I resources are allotted to other causes and parents are tapped out trying to survive day to day, which is why a donation would be appreciated! When students look through the lens of a camera, they become directors, actors, and photographers… and advertisers! They begin to visualize what can be and start to build on these skills.
Help me give my students a camera, photo paper, and ink so they can start digitizing, photographing, videoing, and sharing ideas they have breathed life into!
Ready Set… Middle school action… It is time for middle schoolers to Actively start thinking about what they want to put in the world. Career Prep can start now. Students can start to learn their comfort level in front of or behind the camera. Most have a cell phone, a third arm extension of them anyway; so they are already doing tiny bits of digitizing. Why not give them a quality camera to montage, collage, film, and edit? If we put a Canon camera in the hands of these students and teach them how to use it, they may become budding photographers and videographers on their own historical journey who document their his/her story in real-time. They can use these cameras and lenses to take pictures or shoot live videos. I also want students to learn how to take candid pictures that can be used in their school yearbook or be photoshopped and sold as part of school fundraising activities. We have a photo printer, but no money to buy ink cartridges, if we could sell the print-outs as a part of our class, we teach sustainability. Therefore we are asking for quality Epson ink cartridges to help us get started. Finally, what good is a photo printed on lousy paper? If we want to share our work and make it a true showcase or a really great product, we need some quality photo paper. Will you act with us? Your actions will help us get moving, towards our future careers.
Edited pics, montages, collages, in print or video form are just a small part of what students can be taught to do.
