Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a low-income school where more than 90% of our school population is on free or reduced lunch. All of my pre-k students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students come to school each day eager to learn, ready to try new things, work hard, and do their best.
They practice kindness, sharing, and friendship.
They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to interact with their classmates.
Funds are limited so DonorsChoose.org is my chance to help our students get the materials they need to be successful.
My Project
My art center currently only has crayons and markers. This project will help give my students a variety of materials they can independently use while in the art center. I am excited to see the creativity my students will show while using the stick on cubes, glitter glue, and shapes. Students will use the alphabet letters to have a hands-on way to learn the letter names and sounds. When they are done making their artwork, the drying rack will be an easy place for them to let their work dry until they can take it home.
My art center is lacking necessary materials for my students to truly be creative and expand their imaginations.
Your donation to this project will help give my student materials they need to expand the art center and expand their creativity.
