My Students

I am a third-grade teacher in an urban school setting. One hundred percent of my students participate in our free breakfast and lunch programs. Students in my room come from a variety of backgrounds and learning styles. My classroom is made up of both regular and special education students. Many of my students come from single-parent homes and have great difficulty bringing in basic school supplies.

My students have a variety of learning styles and backgrounds.

The majority of my students read below grade level. I would like my students to be able to expand their learning by using technology to reinforce, explore, and help them meet the high demands required for the third grade. I plan to engage my students in rigorous activities through high-quality reading, math, and writing by using technology and different apps in my lessons. I want my students to develop a love of learning, as well as prepare them for their future.

My Project

Students in my third grade class use their laptops on a daily basis. Throughout the day, the students' batteries on their laptops begin to die. We only have a few outlets in our classroom, so not everyone's laptop is able to get charged. In addition, with being back in person at school, it is vital that we socially distance when using and charging our laptops.

Please help me give my students the ability to stay fully charged by funding my class project to get a three power horizontal charging strips for our classroom.
