This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a low income school where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students face difficulties and struggles in their life, and truly deserve an amazing education. These children deserve nothing but the best life can offer them.

Every student deserves educational equity and this starts with fairness; this means someone's personal conditions shouldn't interfere with their education or academic successes.

My students are hardworking and lovable, they deserve a chance to reach their potential. This can be done through time, love, and the right resources to fit their needs.

My Project

My students are in need of some of the simple things every classroom should have such as an electric pencil sharpener. This way the students do not have to stand in long lines to share hand held pencil sharpeners and can focus on learning!

These basics will help the focus of the classroom move at a quick pace to excel throughout the school year.

In addition to the pencil sharpeners, my students are in need of bouncy bands. These bands are placed on desks, so super active students can move around without disturbing the classroom and the lessons going on. Both of these supplies would help bring the classroom's engagement to the next level!
