Help me give my students Scholastic News magazine to learn more about the world around us and bring the love of reading home.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Badea's classroom raised $254

My Students
My students are in a Title I school. This means that most of my students come from single-parent families with low incomes. They live with extended families. Many are dropped off early and picked up late.
Buying materials is difficult for many families.
They live on fixed incomes and it is difficult for the students to come to school with the supplies they need.
My Project
My students need Scholastic News magazine to learn more about the world around us. My students are eager to learn new things and live to read nonfiction texts.
The Scholastic magazine will give my students an opportunity to read about current events and science topics throughout the year.
They will be reading nonfiction texts on a regular basis and seeing photographs that will encourage curiosity and conversation. They will love it when the new readers arrive and seeing the topics they will be learning about. Scholastic News will make learning fun and encourage reading growth. Students will be able to take their magazine home to share their love of reading.
