My Students

Our school is striving to find the creativity and innovation in all students. I see in my students their strengths, talents, and capabilities; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation.

The students in my classroom strive for excellence.

They love hands on projects that allow creativity and exploration.

Its frustrating when and idea doesn't work out. Through stem/steam projects my students face that challenge. At first it was difficult and they wanted to give up but I was able to teach them that when faced with problems they need to seek ways to resolve and improve their understanding to succeed. I love being apart of that discovery and exploration.

My Project

The books I am requesting are for my classroom library to benefit my students and encourage them to read. After teaching 18+ years my classroom library has taken a toll and in need of a refresh. I picked books that include diversity, nonfiction, realistic nonfiction, and books for struggling readers who may have dyslexia or learning disabilities.

I also wanted these books to have a place to be stored and seen clearly by the students.

That is why I added to the list clear and large storage bins. By having a visual appealing storage and area for the books, I hope to encourage the students to pick up a book and discover the world around them.
