My Project

Hello! I am a first-grade teacher at a low income Title I school. Every single student receives free breakfast and lunch. My students are an eclectic bunch, each with backgrounds distinct as a fingerprint. They come from different neighborhoods, states, and even countries.

My students are a hard working bunch that deserve an end of year to remember.

Every year I tie dye shirts with my students. We tie dye them together and then wear them on field day, and on our last field trip of the year. This has become one of my favorite end of year memories and the kids enjoy it so much each year. I had to make this project for an extra supplies because 5 new students were added to my class in the middle of the year, and the tie dye kit I have will not be enough for all 26 students. Same goes for the water bottles; I will cricut their names onto the bottles, however I do not have enough for the extra students that were added, so I will need extra bottles for them. I will be using the craft frames to place a class picture in them, and every student will sign each frame so the students can have it as a keepsake; this is another tradition I do every year that the students love. Lastly, our class needs a pencil sharpener as our last one broke.
