My Students

Who doesn't love curling up on the comfy couch with a good book? My kids would love a comfortable reading area.

My students are First Graders in a high poverty elementary school in Delaware.

I teach Reading and Writing to 47 students with a wide range of abilities, including special education students, in our school's Spanish Immersion Program. I taught these students in Kindergarten last year and I am so excited to teach them again in First Grade! My students come to school every day ready to learn. They love to listen to stories I read aloud. Many of my students do not have books to read at home, so I use every opportunity I can to read to them at school.

My Project

We have a Listening Center complete with a cd player, books, and Cd's. Now, we just need to make it look warm and inviting! These two bean bag chairs will provide my First Grade students with comfortable seating options when they visit the Listening Center. I know my kids will love listening to a great story while sitting on these comfy bean bag chairs. They will make our Listening Center area complete!
