My Students

Can I see? Can I touch? These are the words of my students daily. Students of today are hands-on learners. My students want to be engaged in their own learning. My students are building their foundation of science and I would like to make it "real" for them.

Our community has very involved parents and my children need to be challenged.

My students need to have engaging learning tools that are stimulating. I want them to ask, "Why?" and "How?" My goal is to grow scientific minds.

My Project

Keeping ART in the classroom is critical. STEM is important but don't forget the "A" ; Art! Sand and modeling clay allow students to manipulate, create and express their knowledge. I can teach measurement, shapes, letters, structures and much more with art supplies. Art allows those kinesthetic learners to bloom.

Cultivating creativity through ART allows my students to create and express their individual thoughts and emotions.

When engaged in art, all my students are masters and find success! ALL students love hands on actives that they may not be able to engage in at home. Discovery is what brings my students joy!
