My wonderful kindergarten students are the youngest learners at our K-8 charter school.
Our students come from all over the island, from a variety of cultures and socio-economic classes.
We live on the beautiful tropical island of Oahu, with a wonderfully diverse population of students, including students who may speak a different language at home.
My students have lots of energy and are curious about the world around them. They love to work and learn with and from each other.
My Project
Doesn’t every 5 and 6 year old want the opportunity to be actively involved and engaged in learning? What better way than working together with other students to code, design mazes and activities for robots and other students?
With the different innovative coding kits in this project, my students will have the opportunity to dream up different problems and solutions, while being actively involved.
Robots and coding are great for doing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in the classroom in a developmentally appropriate way. Students working side by side with other students gives them the opportunity for social-emotional growth.
