This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Despite of all the obstacles life throws at them, my students' perseverance determine their success. Every day is a challenge for my English Language Learners, Gifted & Talented, and Special Needs students, who with their own individual way of learning, are able to impress me everyday.

With the support and dedication of our excellent administrators and colleagues, my students are able to accomplish their goals.

To my students, school is a place where they find support and allows them to grow emotionally and academically.

My Project

I want to start a classroom economy project with my students that will teach them about financial literacy. Instead of letting them buy small prizes, I would like for them to be able to "rent" learning experiences that will make them future ready. I am planning on creating a classroom "STEAM store" where students can have a variety of STEAM toys to take home. This program will let students earn "class money" by reinforcing positive behavior. I want all my students to have access to high quality STEAM related toys that could enhance their imagination and motivate them to follow a passion for STEAM related learning.
