Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are bright English language learners with diverse strengths and challenges. They are enthusiastic, inquisitive, and hardworking. Many lack reading fluency and comprehension. These students also face many obstacles outside of the classroom.

I believe that each child is able to learn, grow, and succeed.

Yoga, creative movement, multi-sensory techniques, and strategies are incorporated into lessons to ensure the success of all learners. Students work hard to gain new skills, strategies, and a positive attitude about math and reading!

My Project

Help my students imagine, design and build the forts of their dreams—with strong, snap-together builders! These fort builder kits are perfect for creating any forts that my passionate and hard working students can imagine. The kits also have a step-by-step guide that shows students how to build everything from a cozy castle to a super-cool Arctic igloo! The fort builder sets will encourage all children to communicate and collaborate as they construct. As they learn and play, they will develop fine and gross motor skills. Students will also learn how to express themselves and their ideas! Students will be able to share their forts with other members of the community.
