My Project

I want to give my students a chance to apply what we are learning in my Geometry class with projects such as building a bridge, creating a city map, or designing a floor plan of their dream home. With building bridges, students will explore what angles work best and why parallel and perpendicular lines are important. While creating a city map, they will also see how angles play a part in the layout of businesses and how they benefit the companies. Finally who hasn't thought about what their dream home looks like? When they create their floor plan, they can do that along with getting an understanding of fractions.
