Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Every year, our school enjoys its End of Year Memories Dance put on by helpful donations from parents and the community. This year, we are hoping to help put on this dance with help (such as food donations) from our larger community of supporters.

Our school is a middle school in Charlottesville, VA that specializes in creating truly memorable experiences for its students.

We pride ourselves on making sure that our students are able to experience all that middle school can offer them. We have a battery of end-of-the-year activities for our students to enjoy so that they may leave for the summer with fond memories and positive experiences. We find that creating these sorts of meaningful, community-based events creates a permanent sense of family among our students, and want to be able to continue to foster that strong sense of community.

Any help you can give to keep these irreplaceable memories and opportunities available for our students is beyond appreciated.
