The tall shelving unit immediately made our classroom feel more organized and purposeful. Each class now has its own clearly labeled bin, and students quickly took ownership of keeping their materials neat and accessible. Transitions are smoother, the room feels less cluttered, and students love that they have a designated place for their work. It may seem like a simple addition, but it has transformed the flow of our day.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic poetry sets have been an even bigger hit than I ever imagined. Students swarm to the magnetic board before and after class, trading words, building funny sentences, creating poems, and leaving messages for each other. Even students who are usually quiet or hesitant to write have jumped in. It has become a low-pressure, creative outlet that has sparked laughter, collaboration, and real language play.\r\n\r\nThe puzzle board has become a favorite collaborative station. Students love having an ongoing puzzle they can contribute to, and they often gather around it during warm-ups or when they finish a task early. I've been amazed to see students who don't normally work together sit side by side, chatting and problem-solving as they search for pieces. It has brought a calm, community-building energy to the room, and it gives my students a break from screens while still encouraging critical thinking.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping create a classroom environment that feels inviting, organized, and joyful. I cannot describe how accessible this has made me for my students and administrator. Just the other day, I was on the third floor and needed to print something for a students on the first floor. My students immediately fell in love with the futon. Once even said, \" I feel like I'm at the doctor's office.\" I had to chuckle. The students seem to be more comfortable now as they have a cozy place to sit. \r\n\r\nI have added a few stuffed animals and a weighted husky to the futon to help them feel more relaxed. \r\n\r\nThe cart, while easy to put together has truly tied the room together and gave an ample storage space. While I have not yet, put the rug down, I can only imagine how it will pull the space together. \r\n\r\nFinally, I was able to give a handful of students calm strips to place on their computer. On the second day of school my students took a reading interest survey. After the survey we all shared our feelings about reading. Most of my middle school students had negative feelings towards reading because they are struggling readers. This was the perfect time to introduce books that were at their instructional and independent level. I showed the students where our new books were housed, and I took each book off the shelf one by one, showing them the cover and reading the short summary on the back of the book. Soon students were asking if they were allowed to take the books home and discussing who would get to read which book first. When I told them we also had some mystery books, they were excited to hear the titles, so I read each title aloud to the class. \r\n\r\nI scanned the book covers and printed them in color to display around the classroom to peak students' interest as they spend time in the classroom. I am so excited to watch students discover their reading interest while building their reading skills.
