My Students

Many of our resource students struggle with behavior. They are pulled from their regular classrooms for help learning and growing in many ways. Our social skills instruction is super important to help these wonderful kids get along with others, and gain control of their actions. Despite these challenges, my students adapt to new situations and ideas easily, and are eager to expand their knowledge. They are resilient, adaptable, and compassionate. They enjoy learning through the experiences of others and the stories they tell.

My Project

My students need picture books that focus on developing their social-emotional skills. They come from different economic and social backgrounds. Social-emotional books and education provide these students with the skills to interact with each other socially. Engaging them in learning this way is a positive tool to teach social and emotional foundations for life.

By donating to our project, you will provide these students a fun and engaging way to learn skills to build self-awareness, self- management, relationship skills and responsible decision making.

With more effective social skills, these students will be able to communicate and interact with each other in a more positive manner. My students respond well to text and picture books. These new books will make a positive impact on their lives.
