My Students

I've been given the amazing opportunity to be a Special Education Inclusion and Resource Teacher at an Intermediate School. I serve a school where over 80% of our students come from low-income families and receive free lunch. Approximately, 45% are African American, 45% are Hispanic, and 20% are English Language Learners.

We, as a school, want to provide an environment where our students want to come and learn with us.

Our students want to learn and do well, even when the statistics are not in their favor.

My Project

I really love rewarding my students for hard work. I DON'T like rewarding them with food and candy.

Help me reward my students with prizes and toys!

I love giving these kinds of rewards to my students as an alternative to junk food and candy.

My students treasure little prizes like these as reminders of their hard work and good memories of school. I'm sure those of us that are lucky enough to have received little gifts like these from teachers, remember how little toys like these hold on to good memories.

Secondly, Kleenex tissue is one of the most basic needs in a classroom next to paper and pencils. Students are constantly blowing their noses, especially since they don't want to be sneezing into their masks.
