This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students have worked so hard this school year! They have shown tremendous growth in their math and ELA skills! They have shown growth on their MAP tests from fall to spring! I am so proud of how far they have come academically and socially! They are ready for 2nd grade!

My project will be take-home summer tote bags for my class.

They will get bags that they can decorate on their own to hold all of the summer goodies I plan to put in there. All the goodies will be geared toward outdoor play such as bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and sunglasses. I love that they will spend their time outside with friends because of the summer goodies tote!
