My Project

The light table is an amazing way to attract young children to play! It engages their sense of sight in addition to touch and makes regular activities more fun. It can be used in a variety of ways.

A light table can be used to enhance literacy, math, and writing skills in fun, meaningful and playful ways.

Young students are naturally drawn to the calming, gentle glow of the light table and will stay engaged for long periods of time, which can help foster curiosity and attention spans. Some areas of focus and learning can be included in literacy & words, numbers, counting, patterns, sorting, art, STEM, and sensory play.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
