I am the second grade teacher at the one and only magnet school in New Hampshire. We have 125 students from all over the city who choose to be at our school. There is a lottery system put in place for students to come to our school. The family-school partnership is what makes us stand apart from the other schools.
We have Boundless Explorations, which is an opportunity for students to explore different topics that they may not have been exposed to had we not built this time into our schedule.
This is one of the things that makes our school unique.
Boundless Explorations has brought karate into our school along with knitting, cross stitch, cooking, dance, coding, film making, recycling and building, plus many many more choices.
"What is the best part of your Fridays for you?"
"Going to B.E.!! I get to choose the class I want to take. It is always so much fun!"
My Project
The Wacom table will allow me to teach remotely with the support of this technology. When you have to write using a mouse, students have a hard time reading your "great" handwriting. This tool, would be just like writing with a pencil. This would be such a valuable addition to my classroom as we are remote/distance learning until the end of the school year.
This piece of technology will make a difference in my teaching.
My students are already working so hard why make them work harder to read my handwriting?
