This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Protein synthesis involves using DNA which is used to create mRNA, and then finally is converted into various amino acids. Students will use LEGOs that will represent those amino acids. When amino acids are linked together, they build proteins in our body. This is a particularly difficult topic for students to relate to and understand.

With the use of LEGOs, students will have a hands on experience which will allow them to interactively model the steps in a fun, engaging way!

Your donation is going to many students who come from low income households and need extra support in their learning. This project will give students an interactive opportunity to engage with this material and successfully master this topic!
